The Yam Hagadol Foundation was established with the singular goal of spreading the Torah and insights of HaRav Yochanan Zweig. Why the name Yam Hagadol?

The letters that spell “yam” are yud and mem. They refer to the Yam HaTorah, the endless sea of Torah wisdom. Living in Miami Beach we are constantly reminded of the beauty and depth of our oceans. The Yam Hagadol is also the western border of Eretz Yisroel which we aspire to. Finally, these are also the initials of our Rosh HaYeshiva, Harav Yochanan Moshe Zweig.
